Job Title: Montessori Certified Teachers
Supervisor: Principal or Vice-Principal.
Hours per week: Approximately 40 hours.
Job Summary: We are seeking highly qualified Shi’a Muslim educators who are role models, as students learn more from actions than words.

Educational Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree in education or demonstrated expertise in the field Completed undergraduate degree with a minimum 3.2 GPA. Master’s degree or higher may be preferred |
Teaching Certification | Canadian Teaching Certificate (preferred) |
Program Options | Primary/Junior Junior/Intermediate |
Teaching Experience | Previous teaching experience, preferably at primary level. |
Subject Matter Expertise | Undergraduate courses in areas of teaching interests. |
English Proficiency | 1. Native English Language Speaker. 2. Bachelor’s degree from an English-medium institution recognized by Selm Academy. 3. At least 3 years work experience in English-Speaking countries (within the last 7 years) 4. Educating for Moral Character:
In addition to the technical qualifications listed below, the ideal candidate should also serve as a role model for the students. She should demonstrate the ability to fulfill the school’s mission and foster its values in the students. Technical Qualifications:
Ø The candidate is responsible to design and implement lesson plans that are aligned with Ithnā ʿasharī Shi’a principles and Ontario curriculum requirements.
Ø Develop lesson plans and deliver group and individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines,
Ø Collaborate with other teachers, professional staff, and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues,
Ø Respond to a wide range of inquiries from students’ parents or guardians regarding instructional programs and student progress.
Ø Manage students information on SIS, Attendance, prepare report cards in timely manner.
Ø Attend staff meetings and prepare and deliver Parent-Teacher meetings.
Ø Adhere to the relevant Federal and Provincial laws and requirement
